AK-CESCL Refresher

Service Description

The AK-CESCL Refresher Course is an 8-hour recertification course for individuals with a current AK-CESCL certification. The course reviews key concepts from the two-day Initial Certification course and provides updated guidance for erosion, sediment, and stormwater compliance on construction projects in Alaska. Topics include regulatory requirements, risk management, Best Management Practices (BMPs), inspections, documentation and recordkeeping, and practical approaches to maintaining compliance with the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation Construction General Permit. Participants must attend the entire course and pass the written exam to renew their AK-CESCL certification. The renewed certification is valid for three years. Prerequisites Participants must have an active AK-CESCL certification and must have completed either the two-day (16-hour) Initial Certification course or an 8-hour Refresher Course within the previous three years.
